Android: install the HPC Whisper keyboard (HPC-Whisper.apk) to type from the handheld straight into any app, such as an email in Gmail.
iPhone: Apple does not let keyboards use the microphone at all, so an iPhone keyboard is impossible. On an iPhone, use this page, with Copy and Share.
On the handheld: run whisper.exe, version 1.1 or later (download). A piece lost on the way shows as · and fills in when the handheld repeats it, a moment later.
