A colony tracker for hobbyist isopod keepers.
Mancae is an offline app. All your colony data, log entries, and photos are stored only on your own device. Mancae has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
Mancae stores everything you enter into the app — colony names, species choices, log entries, reminders, photos, custom species you add, and your in-app settings. This data lives in a local database file on your device only. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or transmitted off the device.
Mancae does not collect personally identifiable information. It does not track your location. It does not record analytics or usage telemetry. It does not contain advertising SDKs or third-party trackers. It does not require an account, email, or login.
Camera: used only when you choose to take a photo of a colony or use the population estimator. Photos are saved to the app's local storage on your device.
Photos / media (gallery): used only when you choose to import an existing photo from your gallery. Mancae does not browse, scan, or upload your gallery contents.
Notifications: used only to deliver in-app reminders you create yourself (e.g. misting or feeding reminders). Mancae does not send marketing, promotional, or remote notifications.
The only times data leaves the app are when you explicitly initiate it:
• "Export my data" in Settings creates a JSON or CSV file. You choose where it goes.
• "Suggest a correction" in Settings opens your device's email app, pre-filled with a draft to a contact address. Mancae itself does not send the message — your email app does, and only if you tap send.
• "Support Mancae" in Settings opens your browser to a tip jar page. No data is shared with the tip platform other than what your browser normally sends.
Because all data is stored on your device, you remove all of it by uninstalling Mancae. You can also clear individual colonies or all data from inside Settings → Data → "Delete all data."
Mancae is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone of any age, since it does not collect data at all.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this same URL with an updated effective date below.
